Latest news is that I finished - with no skin or hair flying - my first co-writing venture. It was with my partner David Murphy, RTE's boyish business guru, and produced Banksters, a non-fiction book about banking meltdown in Ireland.
Banksters is the first book on the subject and charts the fall from grace of Ireland's senior bankers.

How a Powerful Elite Squandered Ireland’s Wealth
1929… On Wall Street, following the worst financial crisis the world had ever seen, the word 'Banksters' was coined to describe those ruthless individuals who had gambled away the country’s wealth.

2009… The word 'Banksters' is resurrected as David Murphy and Martina Devlin describe the shocking story of how the Irish banking system was brought to its knees by a corrupt elite driven by profit and greed.

The book is a revelatory account of the catastrophe that paralysed the Irish banking system - the biggest financial disaster to engulf Ireland since the foundation of the State.

It recounts the defining story of our time, as bankers and property developers engaged in an orgy of over-borrowing and property speculation that led to an unsustainable property bubble - the collapse of which crippled the Irish economy.
